Ingredients:
- 5 or 6 apples ,
- 1 roll of puff pastry,
- 20g unsalted butter,
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon,
- Approximately 30g brown sugar,
- Apple jelly.
You’ll need:
- 1 baking tray
- 1 brush
Preheat the oven to 210°C (350°F). Roll out the puff pastry on the backing tray covered with greaseproof paper. Peel the apples and cut them into very thin slices. Arrange the apple slices to create a rosette on the entire puff pastry (do not leave edge). Dust the pie with brown sugar and cinnamon. Cut the butter into little pieces and sprinkle the pie with butter.
Bake for 20 minutes at 210°C (350°F).
Here is the trick to make your apple pie as yummy as the ones from the bakery: apple jelly. It is very simple: you just have to heat some apple jelly in a little saucepan. Then spread it on the pie with a brush. Let the pie cool down. Et voilà! A beautiful home-made pie that looks like it was made by a pastrycook!
